Technical Whitepaper: Engineering Criteria
The Anatomy of High-Performance Aluminium Casement Windows
In high-density commercial developments and high-exposure coastal villas, casement windows represent the first thermal and aerodynamic shield of the building envelope. Unlike sliding systems that rely on brush seals susceptible to lateral pressure loss, casement windows utilize compression gasket sealing. When the multi-point handle is actuated, the sash is pulled with uniform mechanical pressure against vulcanized EPDM or Santoprene gaskets on the frame.
Our manufacturing protocols employ architectural-grade 6063-T6 virgin aluminium alloy billets with profile wall thicknesses ranging from 1.6mm for residential fenestration up to 2.5mm for high-span curtain wall casements. The structural core incorporates 24mm to 34mm fiberglass-reinforced Polyamide (PA66 GF25) thermal struts that physically detach the exterior aluminium shell from interior spaces, arresting thermal bridging and eradicating interior condensation in cold climates.
Key Engineering Standard: Compliance with AS 2047 (N6 Cyclone Rating) and ASTM E330 structural deflection criteria guarantees our casement assemblies endure wind pressures exceeding 4500 Pascals with zero permanent frame deformation.
